Member wellness has a month four problem. The room is full in week one, then the quarter gets hard and attendance becomes a line item somebody questions at renewal.
The reason people lapse is almost never the facility.

Almost every premium wellness offer covers two of the three. There is something to train in and something to recover in, and both are excellent, and both work on the body from the outside.
The third pillar is the mind, and it is usually a meditation app in a members’ portal that nobody opens twice. It is the one people cite when they are asked why they stayed, and the one nobody has staffed, because it needs a person rather than equipment.
I hold that layer as a partner, not a tenant. I do not own a room and I do not want one. Everything I run sends people back into yours.
Attendance holds through onboarding and then falls away, and the exit survey says too busy. Too busy is almost never a timetable problem. It is a person who stopped feeling like the place was for them.
More classes has stopped moving the number. Adding a seventh option to a member who is not turning up to the first six is a supply answer to a demand problem.
When somebody weighs the fee against the swipes, the facility loses. The members who renew without doing that arithmetic are the ones who got something they could not price.
A standing session in your timetable, one a month, that members plan around. Recurring beats spectacular. The value is that it is always there, not that any one of them is remarkable.
Three or six sessions with a thread running through them, so members come back for the next one rather than sampling. A series builds a cohort inside your membership, which is the thing that actually holds people.
Breathwork, reiki and sound, in the room, as the evening that makes your space feel like somewhere they belong. Already run at Saint and at GURNER™.
For buildings and precincts rather than clubs. The same work, pitched at people who live or work in the building and have never once used the wellness floor.
Aradhana created a space that encouraged us to look forward and think more deeply about what is calling us, where we want to be and what we want to create for ourselves. There was enough structure to give the session direction and purpose, without it ever feeling rigid or overly prescribed.
The sessions helped me rebuild belief in myself and encouraged me not to settle for the first, second or third answer I get given, and instead look outside the box.
What happened next
Zara came to a couple of the workshops and was disappointed to miss the rest. Members being disappointed to miss the next one is the whole business case.
Still to come
Host testimonials from Saint and GURNER™ rather than attendee ones. A GM comparing providers wants to hear from the venue, not the room.
No. I do not want a room, a residency or a share of your timetable to run my own business out of. Everything I run is programming for your members, promoted to my list as well as yours, and it sends people back into your space rather than out of it.
Revenue share, flat fee per session, or absorbed into membership as a retention spend. Which one is right depends on whether you are solving acquisition or renewal, and those are different problems with different maths. Bring the numbers and we will do it on the call.
The first one usually fills on novelty. The second is the real test, and that is why I would rather sell you a rotation or a series than a one off. A single spectacular night is a marketing spend. A standing session is a retention one.
A twenty year corporate career across manufacturing, automotive, retail, recruitment and entertainment, including eleven years leading teams for one of Australia’s biggest retailers. Also a qualified IIN coach, a reiki master and a yoga teacher. So I am not remembering your pressure from a decade ago. I am in it this week, same as you.
Four to six weeks for a one off, longer for a series, because the promotion matters as much as the session and a fortnight is not enough to fill a room properly.
Attendance and repeat attendance are yours already. Beyond that, a baseline, an intervention and a measure against whichever renewal number you are actually being held to. If it cannot be measured for what you are asking, I will say so before you buy it.
Thirty minutes, no charge. You tell me where members drop off and what your renewal conversation currently sounds like.
Then I come back with programming shaped around that number rather than a package I already had. One page, not twenty.
