Meditations on Insight Timer

Meditate.

Short practices for a nervous system that has been running for months, on Insight Timer. Released in seasons, a new one every Wednesday. Season one starts 4 November.

Listen on Insight Timer

Out now · October

A grounding practice to set your intention for the new month.

Ask yourself what you want this month to feel like, rather than what you want to achieve. A few minutes, and most of it is practice rather than talking about practice.

Season one · one a week

Eight practices, one every Wednesday.

Season one is eight short practices, one each Wednesday from 4 November. Each season walks the same eight steps of Pathway to Peace, explained a new way each time. This one lands in the season of invitations, gatherings and comparison, so every practice is for the moment the old voice says you are not enough. The next three:

4 Nov
Wednesday 4 November

Enough, before you walk in

For the season of invitations. The work party, the dinner, the room where everyone seems further ahead. Settle your body before the door opens, and arrive just as you are.

11 Nov
Wednesday 11 November

Settle an anxious body when your mind will not stop

For when the story is running faster than you are. Sighing and orienting, two things your body already knows how to do, done on purpose.

18 Nov
Wednesday 18 November

Quieten the voice that says you are not enough

The old file, louder at the end of the year. Not an argument with it. A practice for hearing it and choosing not to pay what it asks.

If one of them lands

Some of these are a conversation, not a track.

Arriving as you are, putting down what was never yours, setting an intention your body will keep. Doing them alone is a fair test of whether you want to do them with somebody.

That is what Pathway to Peace is. Eight sessions, the same moves done properly with your history in the room rather than a stranger’s voice in your ears.

How Pathway to Peace works
